Located in Melbourne’s inner south-eastern suburbs, the bold Henry Windsor apartments sparked enormous buyer interest when development began. In walking distance to some of Melbourne’s most sought after attractions, like the Chapel Street shopping strip, St Kilda’s hipster Fitzroy Street, and only a stone’s throw from St Kilda Beach and Albert Park, it’s no surprise that all 53 apartments across seven storeys were easily sold not long after its completion.
The striking angular design by Pace Developments has certainly made its mark on Henry Street, perfectly complementing the laid back, yet trendy character of the area, and adding to its increasingly cool vibe. And if the traffic doesn’t stop most cars in their tracks on Punt Road, near the Henry Street intersection, the building’s stunning façade definitely does.
Adorned with Midnight Blue smooth pressed brick tiles and contrasting Black glazed tiles, both supplied by Robertson’s Building Products, they produce a striking pattern closely resembling the seams of varying shades in a rock face.
Robertson’s Façade Systems proven brick inlay system was used by Euro Precast to skilfully create the stunning brick pattern for the façade all in the controlled environment of a factory. This enabled the structural panels to be easily and efficiently delivered on site, ready to mount.
The façade’s contrasting colours and textures delivers a strong profile on the street and simply adds to the many creative architectural buildings that are creeping into this sought-after area.
